Chapter 1855: Chapter 1855: The Hall of Justice’s Decision_1 Chapter 1855: Chapter 1855: The Hall of Justice’s Decision_1 Neither of them trusted the other, so they had to take an oath.
After everything was done, Ethan Smith knocked Demon Brayden unconscious.
Then, Ethan looked towards the blurry area in front of him.
Instead of saying it was a blur, it was more like chaos.
This atmosphere reminded him once again of the strange place.
Because the aura here was very similar to the aura that Ethan felt in the chaos back then.
The difference was that it was much weaker here, as if it had been diluted countless times.
“Is this method relying on imitating the environment to create Life Aura?” Ethan wondered in his heart.
When Ethan searched for Life Aura in the Sunilope City Mountain Range, it was wrapped in a thick fog. The locals claimed that the aura was demonic qi, while others said it was chaotic qi.
The atmosphere in this formation was very similar to the one in Sunilope City Mountain Range.
So, it was very likely that Life Aura was born out of the so-called “demonic qi”.
“Given time, if the so-called demonic qi becomes even denser, will it give birth to those terrifying Green Mysterious Creatures?” Ethan wondered in his heart.
Very likely!
Those green mysterious creatures were incredibly strong and extremely strange.
They seemed lifeless, relying solely on the so-called demonic qi to survive.
If the demonic qi here became dense enough, not only would it give birth to Life Aura, but also those mysterious green creatures.
“What are you thinking about?” Frederick Cohen asked from the side.
Ethan shook his head, pointed to the aura in front of him, and said, “Once in a mountain range, I encountered an aura like this. The locals called it demonic qi, but I’ve always felt that this aura originated from the beginning of chaos, so calling it chaotic qi might be more appropriate.”
“Who cares what it’s called? Isn’t that just a name? Why bother thinking so much? Even if you called it shit qi or piss qi, who would care? Aren’t they all names given by people?” Frederick grumbled.
Upon hearing Frederick’s words, Ethan was taken aback.
Then he laughed and said, “You make a good point; I was overthinking it.”
Complicated issues often become clearer when simplified.
Ethan no longer thought about it and extracted a small bottle of Life Aura. He then clenched the Golden Fist and destroyed the formation.
After the formation was destroyed, the cultivators used to extract Life Aura regained control of their bodies.
Ethan and Frederick did not stay long. They took Demon Brayden with them, returned to the location of the teleportation formation, and embarked on the journey back to the Thunder Courtyard.
Soon, the three of them returned to Demon-slaying Peak of the Thunder Courtyard.
Without wasting any time, Ethan brought Demon Brayden to the peak master’s cave abode.
The peak master was, as always, playing chess with Ninth Cloud.
Ethan and Frederick strode into the cave abode, and Ethan threw Old Demon in front of the peak master with one hand.
“I brought him back,” Ethan said.
The peak master and Ninth Cloud both looked at the Old Demon in front of them with wide eyes.
“Is everything settled?” the peak master asked, clearly hinting at something.
Ethan nodded and said, “Yes, everything went according to plan.”
The peak master sighed softly, walked forward, and slapped Old Demon across the face.
Old Demon was suddenly awakened and violently opened his eyes, scanning the surroundings.
Seeing the unfamiliar environment, though Old Demon had never been here, he understood in his heart that he had been taken back to Demon-slaying Peak.
“If you have any questions, just ask,” Old Demon snorted.
The peak master raised an eyebrow and said, “You’re quite sensible, aren’t you?”
On the side, Ethan frowned, kicked Old Demon, and said, “Watch your attitude.”
Old Demon was a smart man. He gritted his teeth and had no choice but to pretend to be aggrieved, pleading, “This has nothing to do with me! It’s all because of the Tenny family!”
Although the peak master already knew Ethan’s plan, he still played along with the act.
After going through the process, Ethan couldn’t wait to look at the peak master and ask, “How about it?”
The peak master said solemnly, “This Tenny family is truly evil! However, this matter still has to be reported. We’ll wait for the decision from above.”
“Can’t you make the decision?” Ethan frowned.
The peak master gave Ethan a glance and said, “Of course I can’t make the decision. The Thunder Courtyard has a dedicated Hall of Justice. All decisions are made by the Hall.”
“Can the Hall pass it?” Ethan felt a headache coming on.
He didn’t expect the peak master couldn’t make the decision at all. If the Hall of Justice saw through it, all his efforts would be in vain.
“It should be close,” the peak master said.
At this point, the peak master sighed and said, “I am more worried than you. If the Hall of Justice sees through it, not only will I not be the peak master, but I will probably be expelled from the Thunder Courtyard.”
Only then did Ethan realize how much risk the peak master had taken for him.
“In any case, don’t say anything out of line,” the peak master subtly glanced at Old Demon.
Old Demon was also a smart man. He quickly said, “What I said is true. It’s all because of the Tenny family!”
The peak master gave a grunt of acknowledgment, looked at Ethan, and said, “I’ll set off now for the Hall of Justice. Wait for my news.”
“Thank you, peak master,” Ethan bowed.
Without wasting any time, the peak master immediately got up and hurried to the Hall of Justice.
Ninth Cloud, while arranging the chessboard, said, “Want to play a game?”
Ethan smiled and said, “Sure.”
So, Ethan sat across from Ninth Cloud.
While playing chess, Ninth Cloud laughed and said, “I really underestimated you. You dare to do such a thing. Do you know what the consequences are for deceiving the Hall of Justice?”
“I don’t know and I don’t want to know. No matter the consequences, I have to do it,” Ethan said.
Ninth Cloud spread his hands and said, “What if Old Demon suddenly changes his story?”
“There’s no benefit in doing so for him,” Ethan said.
Without saying more, Ninth Cloud focused on the chess game.
However, Ethan’s heart was still hanging, not out of fear of the punishment from the Hall of Justice, but out of worry that if he was discovered, he would no longer have the opportunity to use the power of Demon-slaying Peak and bring Salena Carpenter back.
A whole day had passed, and the peak master had not yet returned.
This made Ethan increasingly worried, and his anxiety was written all over his face.
However, the peak master still did not return the next day.
For the following three days, there was no news, and the peak master seemed to have disappeared without a trace.

In the blink of an eye, it was the fifth day, but they still hadn’t heard from the peak master.
Ethan couldn’t take it any longer. He got up and was about to go to the Hall of Justice.
Just as Ethan was walking out of the gate of Demon-slaying Peak, he finally saw the returning peak master.
As soon as Ethan saw this, he hurriedly walked up quickly.
“Peak master, how did it go? What did the Hall of Justice decide?” Ethan asked anxiously.
