Chapter 1739: Chapter 1739: Salena Carpenter Awakens Chapter 1739: Chapter 1739: Salena Carpenter Awakens Upon seeing the scene, Ethan Smith froze in astonishment, while Randall Freeman quickly stood up.
The purple cloud pearl hovered above Salena Carpenter, releasing radiant rays of light that gently fell upon her body.
Salena’s body appeared to form a mystical connection with the purple cloud pearl, exuding an unfathomable aura.
*Ethan couldn’t help but harbor a suspicion in his heart!*
“Could it be… that the purple cloud pearl can eradicate the curse on Salena?” Ethan exclaimed, his voice trembling in shock.
Off to the side, Randall Freeman shared the same speculation. Containing the excitement within him, he said, “If that’s true, then this would be wonderful news!”
Neither of them spoke further, standing quietly nearby to observe the slow and steady interaction between the purple cloud pearl and Salena’s body.
Just as excitement filled their hearts, the purple cloud pearl suddenly emitted a piercingly destructive glow!
The next instant, the pearl shattered directly within the Void, transforming into countless rays of multicolored light that merged themselves into Salena’s body!
Witnessing this moment, Ethan’s expression changed drastically!
He instinctively reached out his hand and shouted in utter disbelief, “What the hell! My purple cloud pearl!”
But no matter how much Ethan cried out, the purple cloud pearl remained unresponsive. The radiant rays continued merging into Salena’s body and then disappeared without a trace, vanishing entirely!
Everything returned to calm, as if nothing had ever happened.
And the Treasure, Ethan’s purple cloud pearl, had completely vanished from his grasp.
“It’s all over…” Ethan’s face looked grim and despondent.
This pearl was Ethan’s last trump card, and now it had shattered inexplicably!
*Without the purple cloud pearl, how could he possibly deal with Denton Horton…* Ethan murmured in a low voice, his mind awash with numbness.
“Could it be this pearl was meant to awaken Salena?” Randall suggested from nearby.
Ethan let out a bitter laugh and said, “Even if that’s true, it certainly should not have happened at this moment.”
“At the very least, it should have waited until Denton Horton was driven back!”
“Still better than having nothing at all.” Randall muttered under his breath.
Ethan sighed deeply. Just as he was about to speak, Salena Carpenter, who had been lying unconscious on the ground, suddenly moved her finger ever so slightly.
“She moved, she moved!” Randall shouted excitedly!
Ethan also noticed the unusual movement of her finger, and he instantly shifted his gaze to Salena with overwhelming tension.
At that moment, Salena’s body trembled lightly again! Wisps of energy began emanating from her body!
Up until now, Salena’s body had been completely lifeless, and yet this energy undeniably belonged to Salena herself!
“She’s really moving!” They both yelled in unison!
While they were speaking, Salena suddenly sat bolt upright with a sharp jolt!
She rubbed her eyes, glanced around in a daze, and muttered, “Where the hell am I?”
Ethan couldn’t contain the excitement bubbling in his chest. He dashed forward and pulled Salena into a tight embrace!
“You’re finally awake, you damned fool, you finally woke up!” Ethan shouted fervently as he clung to her.
Nearby, Randall Freeman also looked overjoyed, rubbing his hands together incessantly like a jovial child.
Salena scratched her head, frowned, and said, “Ethan? Randall? What are you guys doing?”
*Ethan understood that Salena had been in a comatose state for too long and was utterly unaware of the events that had transpired since then.* He knew he would have to explain everything to her gradually.
Before Ethan could utter a word, Salena’s eyes widened suddenly.
She stared at Randall with an incredulous expression and shouted, “You’ve actually stepped into the Reversion Void Stage? Holy hell, when did that happen?”
Looking somewhat sheepish, Randall scratched his head and chuckled, “Just lucky, just lucky, haha…”
“Oh crap, I didn’t stay down for hundreds of years or something, did I?” Salena widened her eyes in alarm. Her exquisite face was painted with distress.
Ethan gave a wry smile and said, “Of course not.”
Afterward, Ethan and Randall took their time explaining everything that had happened recently to Salena.
The explanation took a long time, and by the time they were done, the sky had already darkened.
Salena, however, listened as though lost in a fog, occasionally scratching her head, her gaze filled with undeniable confusion.
“Anyway, the point is you’re finally back, and Ethan’s purple cloud pearl didn’t end up being wasted for nothing,” Randall muttered.
Salena scratched her head again and asked, “Purple cloud pearl? What purple cloud pearl?”
“Don’t ask so many questions. The point is, the curse on your body is gone,” Ethan replied.
“We’ve told you the current situation. Within a few days, Denton Horton will descend upon us. Unfortunately, we don’t have much time to help you adjust,” Ethan continued.
A look of solemnity briefly flashed across Salena’s face at the mention of Denton Horton.
She said gravely, “Back at the northern border, Ken Middleton mentioned that a fully resurrected Denton Horton would be absolutely terrifying. Even he couldn’t counter him. Now the worst has indeed come true, hasn’t it?”
Ethan replied with a sound of acknowledgment, then said, “With the Great Upheaval underway, many have taken the opportunity to step into the Reversion Void Stage, including the likes of the three lunatics, three extremes, and others you knew well from before.”
“Looks like I’ve fallen behind, huh.” Salena sighed softly, her beautiful face showing a trace of sorrow.
“Forget it, no point dwelling on all that. I’m hungry. Take me to find something to eat already.” Salena bounced up and perched herself on Ethan’s shoulder.
Seeing this, Ethan and Randall couldn’t help but let out bitter laughs.
“What are you staring for? Hurry up!” Salena glared at Randall.
Randall chuckled awkwardly before scampering off toward the foot of the mountain.
Night fell.
The group gathered around a feast on the table.
Everything felt just like old times, with Salena leading the Freeman brothers in their loud revelry of food and drink, getting thoroughly drunk.
Meanwhile, Ethan seemed too burdened for merriment; he stood by the railing, gazing into the distance, his face clouded with seriousness.
“Didn’t you say you had a backup plan?” Randall came over and asked.
Ethan shook his head and said, “Not anymore.”
“Then what are you going to do?” Randall frowned.
Ethan sighed and said, “I don’t know, but we’ll just have to take things one step at a time.”
*At this moment, Ethan could only pin his hopes on the iron rod and the bracelet Clare Richardson had given him.*
“Now that I’ve reached the Advanced-stage Mighty Realm, my combat power has significantly improved. While I may not be able to face Denton Horton, I feel I could try holding my own against Eternal Ming or Simon Ingram.” Ethan said with a deep voice.
Randall scoffed, “Don’t kid yourself. Advanced-stage Mighty Realm is insignificant compared to the Reversion Void Stage; you likely won’t withstand even a trace of his aura.”
“Maybe,” Ethan nodded slightly.

He flipped his palm over, revealing a pill.
This pill, acquired from Ged Shepherd, was the Reversion Void Pill.
*If worse comes to worst,* Ethan thought to himself, *I’ll have to rely on this pill.*
Meanwhile, the disturbances in the North Plain were growing increasingly intense.
Countless streams of energy spread across the region, floated into the skies, and ultimately converged within Denton’s body.
According to Forrest Middleton’s calculations, tomorrow would be the day of Denton Horton’s resurrection.
